Terms and Conditions
By participating, applicants agree to comply with the below conditions:
Public & Private Sector Awards:
- The participating organization must be the owner of the submitted application.
- Applicants must be authorized by their organization to apply for the award.
- For projects involving multiple entities, the ownership must be clearly agreed upon by all business owners prior to submission.
- Participating entities from the private sector need to own a Bahraini CR (or a virtual Bahraini CR).
- Multiple entries by one organization are permitted, provided that each entry is different and submitted separately in compliance with the Award’s requirements.
- Organizations can submit a maximum of two different projects/initiatives within the same award category.
- The same project/initiative cannot be submitted for multiple awards.
Citizen Sector Award:
- The applicant must be a Bahraini Citizen.
- Applicants must provide evidence of the initiative they are submitting. This may include, but is not limited to: a service, mobile application, digital system, or a community-driven practice.
General Terms & Conditions:
- The award applicants must ensure that their application is submitted in the correct award category.
- Applications must be complete in all aspects. Drafts, demos, prototypes, or incomplete projects will not be accepted.
- The applicant must provide the appropriate digital access to access and view the submitted application, a PowerPoint presentation, or a PDF, and any supporting documents for evaluation purposes by the Jury members.
- Incomplete, unclear, or illegible entries will be considered invalid and will be disqualified.
- The application or projects that have previously won in the eGovernment Excellence award 2023 are not eligible to participate again in this year’s award.
- If the applicant wishes to submit a previous winning project (excluding the 2023 winning submissions), the project must demonstrate significant improvements or enhancements since its last submission.
- Employees of the Information & eGovernment Authority and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
- Jury members committee reserves the right to reject submissions without providing any reasons. The Award Organizing Committee cannot be held liable for rejecting any submission.
- The applicants must own the copyright for all content used in their submission, including pictures, audio, etc., and all software used must be licensed.
- The jury members may require candidates to present their submissions in a one-on-one meeting. Applicants are advised to be prepared for a presentation when requested.
- Should the applicant’s contact details change during the award’s participation period, it is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the Award’s Organizing Committee.
- All information provided by the applicants will be kept confidential and used only for evaluation purposes. To ensure confidentiality, the jury members and the Award Organizing Committee will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- A copy of each submission will be archived, strictly for record purposes and not for commercial use.
- The Award Organizing Committee will not take responsibility for any technical issues, unauthorized access, or alteration of any submissions.
- The Award Organizing Committee reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the submissions and applicants (including the applicant’s identity and place of residence).
- The Award’s Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify any applicant who fails to comply with the terms and conditions or attempts to interfere with the submission process. The methods of verification shall be determined at the Committee’s discretion.
- If, for any reason, the Award’s Organizing Committee determines at its sole discretion that the Award cannot proceed as planned, it reserves the full right to cancel, postpone, or restart the Awards under similar terms and conditions.
