GCC Digital Government Award
The GCC Digital Government Award is a competitive initiative that recognizes outstanding digital government initiatives and best practices implemented by government entities across the GCC member states. The award is governed by a set of criteria that are regularly updated to in line with the GCC’s strategic priorities and objectives, supporting the advancement of a digital economy and a digitally empowered society.
The Award was established to promote excellence in digital government and organized alongside the GCC eGovernment conference or any digital event hosted by GCC member state. The 1st round was held in Oman in 2009, followed by State of Kuwait in 2011. The 3rd round was held in the United Arab Emirates in 2013, the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2015, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2023. The last round was hosted by the State of Kuwait in 2025, and the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 7th round of the award in 2026.
