Award Participation Guidelines

  1. Participating entity must be a government or semi government entity in one of the GCC countries.
  2. Only completed initiatives that have been operational for a minimum of 6 months are eligible for submission. In cases where a submission includes multiple phases of development and implementation, completed services that are operational for at least 6 months may be submitted.
  3. Submissions for government entities must be made through the official representative of the respective GCC member state.
  4. The state representative must obtain the approval of the relevant government entities before submitting their initiative for participation in the award.
  5. Each member state may submit a maximum of two entries per category. Each submission must represent a different initiative, and a separate application form must be completed for each one.
  6. The nominated initiative must not have previously won the GCC Digital Government Award in any of its previous rounds. An exception made for initiatives that have undergone substantial enhancements. In such cases, the Jury Committee reserves the right to assess the extent of these enhancements and decide on nomination acceptance.
  7. Initiatives that previously received a Certificate of Excellence in the GCC Digital Government Award are eligible to participate in subsequent round of the award.
  8. Participating entities must own the intellectual property rights to all images, audio files, and textual content associated with the submitted initiative. All software used must be properly licensed.
  9. The Jury Committee reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with the participation terms and conditions
  10. Where necessary, the Jury Committee may request a demonstration of the submitted initiative and be granted access to the digital service for evaluation purposes.
  11. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their initiatives are submitted into the appropriate award category.
  12. The Jury Committee reserves the right to reassign a submission to a different category if deemed appropriate. Such reassignment will only be made if it is in the best interest of the participant.
  13. All supporting documents and materials related to the initiative must be uploaded with the application. The application will not be considered complete without the required supporting documentation.
  14. All submissions must be submitted in their final and fully completed form. Drafts, or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
  15. Any submission that does not meet the award's eligibility requirements and criteria will be disqualified, including submissions that are incomplete, unreadable, or unqualified initiatives.
  16. The maximum word count specified in the application forms must be adhered to in accordance with the provided instructions.
  17. All information provided in the submissions will be used solely for evaluation purposes. Members of the Jury Committee are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  18. All materials submitted as part of the application become the property of the organizers. One copy of each submission will be retained for archival purposes and will not be used for any commercial purposes.
